Make your home more energy efficient and reduce your carbon footprint...
Cherwell Windows have now joined this year's Energy Saving trust initiative to reduce heat loss, increase solar gain and therefore reduce the amount of energy you use to heat your home. How Does It Work... By replacing your windows with double glazing you now have the ability to get an energy efficient window by choosing different specifications in the frame and the glass that will provide you with a certification for your energy rated window.
Pilkington have recently launched a heavy marketing campaign called energiKare...
The glass works in two ways, it reduces the amount of heat lost through your windows and allows more heat (energy) in through the windows from the sun. This is known as solar gain, and is free of charge from the suns rays. The unit is made up of two special types of glass, K glass, the UK’s best selling low emissivity glass, which stops the heat escaping. The outer pane is the new Pilkington Optiwhite, which is an extra clear glass that allows more solar heat in through the windows. The use of argon gas filling and a warm edge spacer further improves the thermal performance making your home feel warmer without the need to turn up the heating. By simply using this product along with our Duraflex featured window you can reduce the amount of energy net lost through your windows by 90%. That’s not all... If you have had a Cherwell installation within the last three years, fitted with our featured window, we can improve your energy rating by simply changing your glass units to the new Pilkington energiKare glass. You will then have a fully certified window. A standard three bedroom detached property can achieve this by spending around £1350 in changing the glass only. We can supply you with a quotation for this over the phone by simply providing us with your customer number. Please call and do your part to help our Environment. |
